News: By Appointment Only Design home fragrance collection
By Jo Phillips
The luxury florist “By Appointment Only Design” recently created their first home fragrance collection to share the joy and talent of the brand’s world-renowned floral excellence with the world. Their work evokes the senses, captures precious moments and creates beautiful memories. The nine stunning fragrances are presented in beautiful Italian crystal and the collection even features diffusers which are available in five of the fragrances. The creative director of the brand, Javier Salvador, said that they wanted to create scents that could easily be layered together or used individually and the result is a unique collection that is atmospheric and infused with their love and passion for flowers. They are perfect for use at home, gifts or even as a wedding scent. The perfume candles are made of soy and paraffin wax with a cotton wick and burn between 50 to 60 hours.
Here is a little preview of the nine fragrances of the collection.
Great Hall:
Wood smoke and polished cedar wood are combined with the masculine scent of vetiver and leather. The candle is inspired by Great Fosters, an Elizabethan Hotel where the designers experienced a unique smell of burning wood. This smokey, dark and mysterious space is captured in this candle. The notes include pepper, coriander, lemon, nutmeg, rosemary, wood smoke, lavender, cedar wood, jasmine, guaiacwood, vetivert, patchouli, cumin, moss and leather.
Music Room:
This fragrance is inspired by the rustle of manuscript paper, the delicate sound of strings during a quiet afternoon, combined with fresh lavender and citrus bergamot. The scent reminds the creator of an old piano room with sweet and warm summer breezes coming through the windows. The notes are bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, nutmeg, rosemary, lavender, cinnamon, jasmine, patchouli, vetivert, vanilla, cedar wood, amber, moss, sandalwood and musk.
Drawing Room:
Drawing Room combines exotic spices with fresh berries and aromatic Earl Grey and it is influenced by a wedding venue in Leicester at Stapleford Park. This classic English charm is created through the notes of rose, geranium, raspberry, oud, saffron, clove, musk, leather and cashmere.
Summer House:
An English country garden inspired fragrance which remind of cooling drinks with melon and peach in the garden. The scent is very fresh and the notes include green violet leaf, cassis, peach, melon, mimosa, rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, lily, vanilla, amber, sandal and musk.
Cutting room:
Inspired by garden picked flowers, such as lilies, gardenias, tuberose and fresh leaves, the fragrance’s notes include bergamot, mandarin, green leaf, lily, gardenia, tuberose, spice, sandalwood, musk and vetivert.
Powder Room:
A fragrance that is influenced by evenings in Mallorca and getting ready for guests while sweet jasmine blends with rose and perfume lingering after the wearer’s left the room. The notes consist of smokey leather, rose bud, bergamot, patchouli, guaiacwood, cedar wood, amber, jasmine, rose, lily, amber, suede, sandalwood, musk, leather and vanilla.
Panelled Hall:
This fragrance is inspired by walking down a hallway in an old home, remembering memories and history and feeling a salty breeze with a scent of the garden. The notes are fresh cardamom, violet, mandarin, lemon, marine, spicy, cedar wood, amber, sandalwood, patchouli, moss and musk.
The Snug:
This amber, spices, sandalwood and rich vanilla scent represents the warm winter nights inside the house, while the cold stays outside. The candle is created to make you want to embrace your loved ones. The notes include mandarin, cassis, cardamom, jasmine, lily, clove, amber, patchouli, musk, vetivert, sandalwood, vanilla and oud.
Prayer Room:
This candle is created to transport you to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and takes inspiration from old churches. The familiarity and comfort is created through the notes of pine needle, cumin, smokey, aldehydic, patchouli, guaiac wood, amber, leather, moss, vanilla and tobacco.
The perfume candles are available exclusively here and at The Corinthia Hotel Boutique from September 2016.
