Raw: Beehive in Burt’s Bees new home
By Jo Phillips
One of our favourite natural (raw) beauty brands has only gone and built themselves a (temporary) home in the Seven Dials part of London. The pop-up “Hive” from Burt’s Bees launches today, 1 May 2014, and will be operational for 8 full weeks before flying away to further shores.
The brand, which launched in Maine in 1984, is a proud advocate of chemical-free and natural skin and beauty products. Decorated with wooden furniture and featuring real, living, breathing plants, the interior is yellow and some cheeky hexagonal honeycomb fittings add to the overall effect of a Beekeeper’s place of residence.
Inside the hive will be the full range of Burt’s Bees products; including their infamous beeswax lip balms, as well as body exfoliants, facial cleansers, hand creams, body butters, soaps, and of course the lovely new range of lip colours which the .Cent beauty team had the pleasure of trying out last month. Address for those keen to fly to it: 46 Monmouth Street, Seven Dials, London, WC2H 9LE.
