Tuesday Tunes: Samuel Jack
By Jo Phillips
August has begun and our new month’s theme of LOUCHE is in full swing. At Cent we feel that the word louche is defined as something or someone that is relaxed, laid back and slightly sultry and sexy. In light of our new theme, we thought we would ask musician, Samuel Jack, what the word louche means to him musically and what 10 songs he associates with the word louche. Samuel Jack has recently announced his debut EP ‘Let it all out’ is coming out on the 26th August. The album expresses Samuel’s deepest emotions and reflects his story of how he went from living in a negative and doubtful space all the way up to challenging his fears and becoming the musician that he always wanted to be. You can find Samuel Jack’s soundcloud here, but in the meantime here are his top ten louche songs:
Jessie Ware – Wildest moments
Ady Suleiman – So lost
Foy vance – Doesn’t take a whole day
John Mayer – Slow dancing in a burning room
BB King – Guess who
Lynden David Hall – Sexy Cinderella
Alt J – Tesselate
Nick Mulvey – Curucuru
Leon bridges – Coming home
Ray Charles – Georgia on my mind
