Worldly; An Indian Summer

By Jo Phillips

We have had in the UK the most wonderfully hot and sunny summer, and even though the weather seems slightly ‘on the turn’ as they say, we are actually due an Indian Summer. The warm and dry weather is expected to continue for most of the UK throughout autumn in September and October, with unexpectedly higher than average temperatures.

So, please don’t start on any winter skin regimes as of yet. Whilst it’s still dry out and relatively humid we need to still treat our skin carefully. Do not start with heavy duty skin creams; stick to the light easy types that allow your skin to benefit from warm air and sunshine (a healthy amount of course).

Here are a few really good light face-creams perfect for this coming longer warm spell.

 Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Moisturiser Rodiol

A light, yet lusciously creamy multi-use moisturiser with a delicate peach/rose scent, for daily use on the face. With a unique Dragon Blood formula to de-stress the skin, this cream also includes built-in SPF15 protection with Hyaluronic acid and Gransil to provide long-lasting moisture throughout the day.

Hydrofoam Rejuvenating Hyaluronic Moisturizer Previse

A rejuvenating moisturiser with botanical antioxidants, vitamins, ceramides and hyaluronic acid to keep the skin fresh and protected. The unique micro-bubble technology ensures smooth, plump skin, essential for the summer season. It also helps to protect those with delicate skin in conditions such as harsh sunlight.

 Toning Hydrating Mist Green People

Perfect when one is in need of a feeling of instant refreshment, this toning and hydrating mist instantly boosts the look and feel of skin within a couple of sprays. With an uplifting scent of Rose and Orange Blossom, it can be used either under or over make-up and is also useful to soothe the skin after hair removal or shaving.

 Complexion Perfector Omorovicza

Founded in the healing location of the Racz Spa in Budapest by the Omorovicza family in the 1800’s, this complexion protector is a must for your skincare regime this season. With a healthy dose of Vitamin C and Zinc Oxide to brighten the skin, this multi-use BB cream effortlessly smooths into the skin to ensure a natural-looking coverage while protecting against the rays.

Rose Moisture Plus Revitalising Gel-Lotion Jurlique

Injecting the notes of spring into your Indian Summer skincare routine with extracts of rosehip, green tea and grape seed, Jurlique delivers a soothing moisturiser as part of the Rose Moisture Plus range. Packed full of antioxidants thanks to its natural ingredients, the water-gel emulsion formula is designed to enhance and replenish the natural radiance and vitality of your skin to keep it feeling soft and supple.

Sensitive Facial Moisturiser  Sukin

 Smoothing Marine Cream Clark’s Botanicals

Specially designed to boost collagen, this gentle moisturiser helps to restore the youthfulness of your skin. The combination of active ingredients such as algae extract and glycolic acid works to soften those lines and smooth away signs of fatigue, while the jasmine combats inflammation to promote a consistent skin-tone. Reveal a brighter, younger complexion with this Smoothing Marine Cream.
