In the realm of personal care, body oils can be seen as armour, a protective layer that shields and fortifies the skin. Just as armour provides a physical barrier against external threats, body and face oils form a shield, safeguarding the skin from dryness while nourishing and giving it that unique glow. In India, Ayurveda, an traditional healing system, has played a pivotal role in the development and use of cosmetic body oils. Ayurvedic oils have an age-old history since the 2nd Century BC and are often based on a combination of herbs, spices, and essential oils. Body oils were the vessels of the healing energies, not only soothing the body but also the mind with the purest most natural ingredients, such as Coconut, Almond, Jojoba and Flower extract.

Similarly, China has a long-standing tradition of using the most natural ingredients in skincare. Plant-based oils are still the most beloved, but minerals and essential oils were added into the mix, pushing even further the benefit of body and face oils.

The essential nutrients found in body and face oils are very helpful for regular and dry skin care. They mimic the role of lipids, acting as a protective barrier for the skin. With this barrier, the surface of your skin retains the moisture it needs to feel soft and smooth. Many are perfect for all skin types as they are not greasy some even become dry once applied to skin; whether body or face. Body and face oils leave no greasy residue on the skin, even though these oils tend to be thicker than creams they create a stronger barrier on the outer layer of your skin.
