Fashion: London Fashion Week Commences

By Jo Phillips

New York Fashion Week has finished and it is London’s time to shine. Last season, London lived up to it’s creative name, with designers, old and new, showing a broad range of talented, unique collections that we loved. If you want too see our coverage of last season you can click here, or head over to our new fashion special issue here for all the AW16 trends.

Today was the first day of the shows and we are excited to share some of our favourite moments of the day so far! So without further a do, here are our top moments from the day…

The Ryan LO collection showcased unique, bold designs inspired by pop culture and nostalgia. The set design was filled with all things sparkly, and guests were given sweets and treats!

The young designer, Ashley Williams, made her NEWGEN debut last year and has continued to push her talents further. At her show, we loved the quirky art installations and set design that were inspired by everyday life. The above bedroom installation gave Tracey Emin a run for her money, and the I Love You Nan chalkboard table was another fun addition.

103i298In the evening, British designer, Alice Archer’s presentation was hosted in the beautiful, 10 Carlton House Terrace. The models were arranged in a circle surrounding a coral inspired art installation and all wore gorgeous, bright, feminine garments that were made using luxurious fabrics and fine detailing.

Make sure to stay tuned with us for more updates on the upcoming shows, designers and day-to-day moments that you can’t miss. In the meantime, you can check out our brand new fashion special issue, Made In Love, Guest edited by shoe designer Georgina Goodman.
