Smell In Undertone

By Chloe Mercier-Legros

A perfume is like a veil. Coating us in an aroma of charm, sensuality, confidence, or freshness, through flowers, spices, and woods. Someone walks down the street, a mesmerizing trail of scent following after their passing; enticing us to smell good too. Each person will highlight a slightly different facet of a perfume once on their skin. Here’s an insider secret, not a single perfume smells the same on different skins. But why? Find out more at Smell In Undertone

It’s quite commonly known that certain scents smell divine on our skin and others just don’t quite develop the way we wanted. We are aware that skin tones play a part yet here is a little more that most of us don’t know about.

During a conversation she had with the famous Nose, Pierre Negrin, Bee Shapiro, founder of perfumes house Ellis Brooklyn learned that our body, depending on its type, possesses scented notes. It helped her understand why she couldn’t wear floral scents, they just never suited her. This conversation opened Bee’s eyes to why.

Our skin has an extremely subtle odorous undertone. It can be very diverse, from sour to sweet, salty, musky or even fruity. It may very well affect the way a fragrance develops.

With this in mind, she created the newest addition to her collection, “Florist” a floral that she could truly wear and enjoy. Thanks to its top notes of Italian Bergamot, Lemon, Lily of the Valley and Pear, its heart notes of Tuberose, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, and its base of Cedarwood and Sandalwood, the powerful yet light perfume balances itself perfectly.

Opening with a burst of fruity freshness, it transports us in the sunny countryside of Tuscany. At its heart, its sweetness and sensuality is enveloping, this perfume is a flirt. Light, fresh, and enchanting, this floral perfume is remastered, spiced up, like a breath of spring-air.

This fresh floral scent brings a new facet to the much-loved brand. However for more surprises “Florist” isn’t the only newness full of surprises from the house Ellis Brooklyn.

Vanilla Milk”, is the most energetic and magnetic Vanilla-oriented fragrance, with its top notes of Creamy Milk, Frangipani, and Peony Rose, its gourmand heart notes of Bourbon Vanilla Bean, Madagascar Vanilla Bean Extract, Cocoa Shell Extract, and to finish its base notes of Sandalwood and Musk.

This perfume has character, it is striking and unexpected. This is a smoky, hypnotic, extraordinary fragrance, with just the right amount of sweetness, and more charisma than any other. It brings a mystery, an unprecedented depth to sweeter aromas.

Any perfume on the body is a perfect blend of it with our own body scent, creating the most unique blend of raw and special odour with sophistically developed fragrances. It’s our signature, a little bit of us that is added to the perfume, like an extra heart note of body scent.
