Ricky Wesley Harriot, Tottenham-born contemporary womenswear fashion designer, has introduced his exclusive collection for the online fashion retailer ASOS. He launched his womenswear label ‘Wesley Harriott’ in 2016 with deconstructed multifunctional designs focusing on feminine androgynous silhouettes.
His designs are influenced by females that have impacted his past in both fiction and reality. It expresses the power and resilience of the female character. Along with strong female empowerment, his designs are also inspired by video games and anime which helps him shape his powerful and unusual designs.
His designs are fit for a muse who is a dominant, raw, unforgiving female figure that dances between heroism fit for a contemporary fashion environment with a uniform that captures their gender- defying nature.
Lady Gaga, Korean K-POP Sensation CL, SZA, Kylie Jenner and Jorja Smith, are some of the celebrities who have worn his collection and have been featured in publications such as WWD, Vogue UK, Dazed, Drapers, ELLE UK, Harper’s Bazaar US and Refinery29.
Now the brand is launching the Wesley Harriott Exclusive Collection for ASOS. The collection for ASOS features strong silhouette, boxy shapes, tailoring with masculine suiting fabrics and defined drape and structure. The colour palettes for this collection are black, white, neon lime green with designs such as utilitarian style, layering, cut outs.
The collection is out now on ASOS and will be stocked for at least two seasons. The very first collection will be made of six looks which feature dynamic pieces with significance on silhouettes, utility and multifunctionality.
